Everyone is different when it comes to how a marketing message is internalized.  Be sure to have necessary marketing channels in place, that potential customers can learn more about you easily and quickly.  For example, brochures are very powerful, and can direct a client to more detailed information online to a detailed website about your business.

Be clear about what your business does, and what you can provide for your customers!

It is no surprise that business is generated by need, or the appearance thereof.  In order for someone to do business with you, they must first understand what you do.  Be as clear in your marketing efforts, as you can, to present your business as solution to a problem or need they have.  What you do is what they gravitate towards.
